Depending on Mario's schedule, he can accommodate scheduled maintenance and Mario can handle major repairs. If Mario has a lot of work, we will send you to a great shop for any job that takes more than a day. Mario does not mind if the customer picks up parts. We can provide parts or you can purchase your own parts if you like. Mario has a small shop at home if work will take more than a few hours, if drivable. We do have customers drop off vehicles if they are not in a hurry.
Mario is a certified state inspector for the State of Texas for state inspections. Mario knows exactly what state troopers or cops check on commercial trucks and trailers. After troubleshooting any problem, Mario will talk to the owner to explain issues and advise what needs to be repaired. Give an estimate and start replacing parts found defective. Mario will make a list of additional issues found during road service.
Most diesel engines need to be changed from 10,000 to 25,000 miles depending on the application. Signs that fuel filter needs to get changed are problems starting, rough idle, vehicle dies when moved, smoking white or grey, and losing power. I always recommend drivers to carry extra filters just in case they pick up bad diesel somewhere on the road.
Performing maintenance will save you $1,000's of dollars. Maintenance is the key to success in any vehicle. Most road service calls for trucks and trailers are mostly because of the lack of scheduled maintenance. Every component on a commercial vehicle needs to be inspected often from the engine, transmission, brakes, rear ends, driveline, u joints, complete grease fittings, wipers, a/c system, exhaust, suspension, starting, test drive, and check for vibrations. Mario recommends all commercial trucks and trailers be checked after every single trip.
